One More Time

One more time I tell myself
then I find some more to have
as the bees buzz round my head
as the birds sing songs and laugh

One more time is all I have
Like this view I spent on life
I won’t let escape from me
until I know I’m thinking right

The what becomes more
than the how and the why
And still we all wonder
what is hidden in the sky

It’s as if the thunder clouds
wanted to escalate
into worlds that only understand
pure estimates

And though I close my eyes
when I sleep at night
This may be a surprise to you
but to me it’s always bright

One more I tell myself
before the want
becomes the need
and the need then swallows up
all the world
known to me
