that lifts us suddenly
out of this unwritten dream
Then drops us down judgement free
into our own memories
Creating pain, joy and peace
in one single refrain
Erasing stains
Evading shame
Attempting to forget the names
that are etched in skin
and carved on stone
Branded in thought
while left alone
Fueled with fire
